Pitong Congressman, Nabakla sa RH Bill.

Seven congressmen withdraw their support to the controversial reproductive health (RH) bill.Below are their names:

1. Suarez, Orlando Fua (Siquijor),
2. Reena Concepcion Obillo (Una Ang Pamilya),
3. Mohammed Hussein Pangandaman (Lanao del Sur),
4. Nasser Pangandaman (AA Kasosyo),
5. Elmer Panotes (Camarines Norte) and
6. Pastor Alcover Jr. (Anad).

Representative Suarez of Siquijor argued that other countries that had adopted a similar measure (RH Bill) to control their population growth are now facing with problems of an insufficient labor force because the death rate was now greater than the number of children being born.

Tama naman ang argument mo Congressman Suarez, pero despite their dying labor force and their aging population, naghihirap na ba ang kanilang bansa? You mean to say na mas maganda ang "quality of life" ng Pilipinas as compared sa mga bansang ito? Ang Germany for instance, isa sila sa mga bansang may shortage sa labor force dahil kulang na ang kanilang population, you mean to say mas okay ang buhay ng Pilipinas as compared to Germany? Hindi naman diba?

I don't understand why our the Catholic Church is so against this bill.

The powerful Catholic Church ay nananawagan sa milyong-milyong nitong devotees to hold prayer vigils in the streets or in the privacy of their homes before Aug. 7, when the House of Representatives shall decide on the fate of the controversial reproductive health (RH) bill.

The RH bill aims to provide universal access to various birth control methods and modern contraceptives which will be funded by the government as stipulated in the said bill. The main objective of the RH Bill is to reduce the number of mothers and infants dying in childbirth and to minimize teenage girls from unwanted pregnancies.

However, the Catholic Church claims that the said bill is anti-life since it encourages the usage of modern contraceptives like condoms and pills which the Church believes is a tool to suppress life and will only encourage pre-marital sex amongst the youth.

Honestly, I really don't see the logic why the Catholic Church is so against this bill. Bakit?

Lahat ng arguments ng Simbahan about the said bill are just mere speculations at produkto lang ng makukulay na isip. Now is the right time para makialam na ang gobyerno sa pamamagitan ng RH Bill.

Bato-bato sa langit. Opinyon lang po at wag magagalit.
